Why?
The intent of VirtualMusic.tv is to tune in to the brainwaves of our virtual culture via editorial and narrative content. Content submissions should spark interaction, meaningful conversation, and/or our imaginations.
What?
In general, the topics we’ll cover are virtuality, cyberculture, virtual music applications and how virtual technology affects our culture and music. We’ll look at present time, and to the future of our virtual culture.
How?
We’ll share our ideas via features—articles, videos, discussion, interviews, reviews, and commentary. Content can be editorial, narrative, or news. The link to register is at the top-right of this page. You have the option to be a subscriber or a contributor. Comment participation does not require registration.
When signing up to contribute, please send an email to virtualmusictv@gmail.com to tell us about the content you’d like to write/direct. Original content will be licensed as Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike on the site. All posts will be approved by an editor before being published. Photographers and graphic designers are encouraged to contribute graphics to be used in our features. Writers can use the Flickr Creative Commons search to find images.
Rules
We know that rules are made to be broken, but in order to keep a constructive vibe, we might need a few:
- No swear words, but try the Visual Thesaurus.
- No promoting smoking or any other self-destructing behaviour.
- No insulting other users, but feel free to be open, honest, creative, and constructive.
- Content should be thought out, well written, and meaningful.
- Videos should be well filmed, and have decent A/V quality.
