They could solve the problem if they really wanted to. There must be a way to encrypt each MP3, FLAC or whatever so that they can only be unlocked with a unique key when purchased digitally online and used a limited number of times, say 4 times, on say 2 devices only. The files would not be copyable onto foreign devices after the user inputs which devices they have chosen to sync with the files. But hey, I guess no programmer has figured out a way to do that yet, right? Or is it that they're human too and love free stuff? xD In any case, I don't really care. Commercial music needs to die. It is a social evil.
